What We Do.
The New Zealand Business Academy has been set up to provide support and learning specifically to small and medium sized businesses. New Zealand Business Academy programmes, workshops, and coaching are available on payment plan in order for you to be able to “earn and learn”.

Business Essentials
This programme is designed to help you lay the foundation for your business. Most of us start a business doing something we are good at, but very rarely are we great at everything!

Modules
Success Mindset
This module lays the foundations for a successful mindset in business – aligning your ‘why’, clarifying your core differentiators, understanding your strengths and developing a growth mindset.
Financials
This module is your business financials 101. We cover everything from budgeting and invoicing through to pricing and profitability. You’ll learn how to manage costs, determine the most appropriate pricing models and calculate profit after tax.
Marketing
This module provides a complete overview of everything you need to consider when setting up your brand and marketing activities. We cover determining your ideal customer, relevant marketing activities and channels, developing messaging and building consistency through planning.
Time Management
This module helps you understand your optimal ways of working, to ensure you’re utilising your time, energy and skills effectively and moving your business forward. We cover goal setting, prioritisation, time blocking and energy management.
Sales
This module sets you up for selling. We’ll uncover the beliefs that may be blocking sales and how to build confidence with a sales mindset. We develop your selling process and help you manage any objections that may come up along the way.
Business Development
This module provides ways in which you build your business through your relationships. You’ll learn how to grow your business through effective networking, partnerships, word-of-mouth marketing, referral alliances and management of your end-to-end customer experience.
Group Coaching Workshops
Individuals do not work in silos. Team members need to work well together to ensure business success. Team synergy is not always a given, however. It needs to be established, nurtured and maintained. This can be facilitated through group coaching workshops.
More Money More Freedom
Money! It’s one of those topics that excites some and terrifies others. Regardless of how you feel about your personal finances, the key to building stability and wealth starts with education.

Psychometric Profiles and Debriefing Using Extended DISC

How it works:
- The programme runs in 12-week cycles with weekly two-hour sessions.

- Break that down into quarterly priorities
- Identify a clear six-week sprint to focus their attention

Managing Contractor Health & Safety
Keep your contractors and your business safe.
What you’ll learn:
- Recognising the roles and responsibilities of a PCBU when engaging and managing contractors
- Ensuring your processes are in keeping with the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Understanding how contractor prequalification works
- Identifying and explaining various types of risk
- Reviewing and evaluating a contractor’s site-specific health and safety plan
- Applying the consultation, co-ordination and cooperation process with contractors, and conducting a review of a contractor’s health and safety

Managing Machinery Risk
Big machines mean big risks – prioritise safety with this framework to guide you.
You’ll gain these skills:
- Understanding the need to manage machinery risks
- Getting your workers, representatives, and other stakeholders engaged in machinery risk assessments
- Evaluating the lifecycle of machinery risks that arise from installation and inspection to modifications, maintenance, and decommissioning of plant and machinery
- Identifying, analysing, and explaining the diverse types of machinery risks; the methods to control risks; health related risks around noise, hazardous substances, ergonomics, and clean air
- Conveying the importance of locking out plant and equipment
